David serves Burns & McDonnell as a project engineer providing design services for renewable natural gas facilities, hydrogen generation and hydrogen blending facilities, pipelines and pipeline facilities. David has experience in planning, designing and managing engineering projects and programs. David also has experience with liquids and natural gas systems per CFR 49 Parts 192 & 195 regulations and various ASME B31 and API design codes.

Andrew López, PE

Senior Project Engineer & Hydrogen Technical Team Lead

Andrew has 18 years of project engineering experience involving pipeline leak detection and modeling projects, crude oil, gasoline, diesel, ethylene, xylene, dense phase CO2, hydrogen, and natural gas pipelines. He is trained in performing process and pipe/equipment stress calculations and project management. Andrew’s master’s capstone research focused on CO2 transport and sequestration within Southern California, with an emphasis on creating a multi-directional CO2 pipeline network. Andrew has also assisted on project permitting to the various air boards in California.

Ahsan Upal
