Road Map for the Future of the Grid

Wednesday, Nov. 11 | 1 p.m. Central

The world often seems to change slowly … until we look back and realize how much has changed and how quickly. Even so, rates of change differ. While automobiles evolve at a slow pace, the smartphone seemed to come out of nowhere. What will be the tipping point for the future of the electrical grid?

Join two industry veterans, Jeff Casey and Mark Knight, as they unpack and debate the road map to the future, including the short-, medium- and long-term developments that could fundamentally change the energy sector. With a discussion on EVs, regulations and renewables, Jeff and Mark will gauge where we are in the change journey as an industry. They will discuss how utilities might need to change their business models to adapt and prepare.

Mark and Jeff will debate questions such as:

  • How far are we from a tipping point in the evolution of the grid?
  • What does a future world dominated by renewables look like?
  • Is Jeff’s 20-year prediction accurate, or will it be 2050 before we see true change?
