5G and the Impact to Your Poles: Utility Opportunities From the 5G Rollout

Tuesday, Oct. 29 | 1 p.m. Central

During this webinar, you will learn the impact installing 5G small sites will have in growing your joint use work. We will discuss what service providers are installing, where on the pole they want to place it, and the number of poles affected; also what the changes to FCC regulations require for the duration you have to complete the application review and make-ready work, and what fees you can charge for these services. We will discuss how you can mitigate these impacts using a proactive approach to managing the data, as well as what options you have to increase your joint use revenue or how you can enter the radio access network hosting business by owning fiber, radios and other equipment to support the 5G deployment. We will review some case studies and provide information on concealed sites that will allow operators to get new sites in place more rapidly. This is the last in a three-part webinar series of 5G.
