Dividing Wall Column Theory, Application and Execution

Summary

A patented dividing wall column (DWC) design is helping the oil and gas industry meet ESG goals. By reconceptualizing a traditional distillation system with a DWC, capital and operational costs are significantly reduced, a more environmentally friendly process is implemented and less footprint is required to build.

Join us for a presentation with Andrew Becker — moderated by Matt Freeman — to discuss the background, application and benefits of implementing DWC technology.

With almost 15 years of industry experience, Becker has provided unique insight across all oil, gas and chemical market sectors, bringing innovation to many of the firm’s most significant projects and clients. For a recent natural gas liquids fractionation project, Becker’s application of DWC technology led a midstream company’s project to decrease capital costs for fractionators by 10%. Additionally, fuel and electrical expenditures were reduced by up to 20% thanks to optimized process design that has been validated since the initial operation in 2019.
