Use a simple circuit to create a quiz that lights up with the correct answer.
Materials (per team)
½ sheet card stock
Hole punch
Pen
Aluminum foil
Masking tape
2-AA batteries
5 mm LED bulb
Method
Think of three questions and answers (e.g. math problems, vocabulary definitions, anatomy descriptions).
Draw a line down the center of the card stock. Label the left side “Questions” and the right side “Answers” at the top.
Punch three holes each along the edges of the card stock so there are three holes on either side of the line.
Write one of your questions next to each hole on the left side of the card stock; write the answer to each question in random order next to each hole on the right side of the card stock.
Cut three thin strips of aluminum foil (thinner than the width of your masking tape).
Flip the card stock over and connect each question to the correct answer by placing one end of the aluminum foil strip over the question hole and the other end over the corresponding answer hole. Cover all parts of the foil with masking tape.
Repeat for the remaining questions and answers. Make sure that each strip of aluminum foil touches no other strip; add more masking tape as necessary.
Turn the card stock back over so the quiz is facing up.
Place two batteries negative terminal to positive terminal and use masking tape to secure the connection.
