Conceptual Site Models (CSMs)

Understanding site conditions and contaminant behavior is critical to developing effective environmental solutions. Our data-driven approach requires site models to integrate field data, engineering analysis and remediation planning to create a comprehensive framework for targeted, efficient site management. Combining engineering knowledge and experience with full-service construction management to streamline project execution, we implement remediation solutions safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Digital Site Management Tool (DSMT)

Real-time data collection, visualization and collaboration are key to managing complex remediation projects. Our award-winning comprehensive dashboard enhances project efficiency, enabling real-time data collection, analysis and visualization. Seamless collaboration, precise decision-making and adaptive management strategies help achieve compliance and cost-effective site remediation.

Your Goals, Our Commitment

We align our remediation plans with your specific goals — minimizing risks, reducing costs, maintaining compliance and accelerating site closures.

Our job is to evaluate complex sites and implement comprehensive solutions that align with our clients’ goals, driving meaningful progress."

Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Management

CCR regulations continuously evolve. Our team utilizes our award-winning approach to CCR compliance to help determine the most suitable course of action for legacy ponds and CCR management units (CCRMUs) — including groundwater monitoring networks and corrective actions, landfill expansions or closures, and CCR impoundments.

We evaluate your sites, obtain the proper permits and deliver data-driven, focused design and construction projects in alignment with regulations.

Facility Decommissioning and Demolition

Closing a facility is a significant decision and a complex process. Add to that the presence of potentially hazardous materials and contaminated soil and groundwater, and the schedule and budget for your site may be at risk.

We mitigate safety risks through assessments, planning, cost estimation and execution to support you in efficiently decommissioning, decontaminating and demolishing obsolete facilities.

PFAS and Emerging Contaminants

Active and decommissioned sites requiring remediation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in soil and groundwater need careful monitoring and, often, creative solutions to mitigate the presence of emerging contaminants.

We design and implement environmental solutions tailored to your site, from regulatory compliance and permitting to cleanup and removal.

Advanced Geosciences and Subsurface Solutions

Understanding subsurface conditions and groundwater behavior can be the key to unlocking future-focused solutions for complex remediation sites. We assess your site using environmental sequence stratigraphy (ESS) methods and specialize in implementing in situ groundwater treatments, such as passive in situ groundwater remediation and monitored natural attenuation (MNA) strategies.

Our robust subsurface solutions experience also includes geothermal energy and hydrogeological approaches. Coupled with our award-winning DSMT technology, we help you make adaptive, data-driven decisions with seamless reporting capabilities.

Environmental Emergency Response

An incident involving a pipeline, storage tank, tanker truck, rail car, well site or natural disaster necessitates a response that is quick, reliable, efficient and, most importantly, safe. Our environmental emergency response team can respond rapidly to your situation and deploy mitigation efforts and containment strategies to limit impacts.

When the unexpected happens, our comprehensive approach — of planning, preparedness and response — allows our team to safely limit environmental impacts and design and construct solutions that restore your site to maintain operations and achieve regulatory compliance.

Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Solutions

Applications and permitting for Class II, Class VI and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) wells are often lengthy and complex processes. Knowing how to navigate state and federal permitting complexities and putting the optimal plan in place from the outset can make all the difference when it comes to completing crucial permits necessary for construction to mobilize. Correctly completing the process the first time, with a robust understanding of subsurface conditions and groundwater behavior, helps avoid costly schedule delays.

Mining and Critical Minerals

The latest mining operations are driven by the march toward decarbonization, the onshoring of critical mineral dependencies, the demand for national defense and the expansion of electrification initiatives.

Development of new mines and downstream processing facilities — and the circular economies they create — brings with it a new set of environmental considerations and remediation needs.
