Project

Military Aircraft Hangar

Design-build services expanded an existing aerospace manufacturing facility to a 61,100-square-foot, 50-foot-tall high-bay paint hangar including a paint booth, equipment and chemical storage, locker room/decontamination area, and mechanical, electrical, support and communications spaces. A modular chilled/hot water utility plant enables critical temperature and humidity control, and a recirculating-air booth with volatile organic compound abatement system enhances energy efficiency and supports regulatory compliance.

Missile and Space Intelligence Center Advanced Analysis Facility

As the prime architectural and engineering firm, we designed a multibuilding research and development complex that includes a 102,000-square-foot material exploitation facility; a 154,000-square-foot modeling, analysis and computing exploitation complex; laboratory and administrative space; a central utility plant expansion; and a high-performance computing data center. The project includes secure SCIF environments, high-sound-transmission-loss wall and roof systems, advanced computing infrastructure and a new substation to support mission-critical operations.

Ground Test Facility Infrastructure Renovation

Acting as prime architectural and engineering firm, we modernized a five-story, 225,000-square-foot facility by renovating and expanding to provide laboratory, data center, and secure office and SCIF space. Scope included a full infrastructure assessment, substation and utility upgrades, a Tier III data center addition (18,000 square feet), and consolidation of modeling, testing and research operations into a single campus-style facility.

Energetics Manufacturing Site Expansion

Campus development for rocket motor manufacturing included facilities for lining, grinding, mixing, casting, curing, integration and testing in compliance with Department of Defense 4145.26 and FM Global codes. Improvements to the 60-acre greenfield site added six buildings totaling 20,000 square feet, a test stand and the necessary utilities. These improvements helped to automate processes to double production capacity through pre-engineered metal structures, protective concrete walls, explosion-proof systems and ordnance grounding.

Intuitive Machines Headquarters & Lunar Operations Facility

Design-build services for a new 12.5-acre, $40 million headquarters and operations center: 106,000 square feet of space, including advanced manufacturing and production spaces, 3D printing areas, machine shops, research and development laboratories, clean rooms, and large-scale spacecraft assembly areas. Intuitive Machines has secured multiple NASA contracts and made history as the first private company to successfully land on the moon, marking the return of the U.S. to lunar exploration since the Apollo missions.

Chemical Processing Facility

We designed 50,000 square feet of aerospace manufacturing and process space engineered to maintain strict temperature, humidity and exhaust tolerances essential for production quality. The design package also incorporated conference rooms, break areas, IT/data infrastructure, restrooms with lockers and dedicated office workspace.

Advanced Propulsion Laboratory

To boost manufacturing production and increase efficiency while creating a refreshed environment for employees, our team provided full planning, architectural and engineering design services for the interior of the customer’s main production building. The upgrades will support crewed-module mission activities, ranging from ICD 705 secure spaces to standard office environments.
