Intuitive Machines Headquarters & Lunar Operations Facility
Design-build services for the customer’s new 12.5-acre, $40 million headquarters and operations center. 106,000 square feet of space, including advanced manufacturing and production spaces, 3D printing areas, machine shops, research and development laboratories, clean rooms, and large-scale spacecraft assembly areas. Intuitive Machines has secured multiple NASA contracts and made history as the first private company to successfully land on the moon, marking the return of the U.S. to lunar exploration since the Apollo missions.
Chemical Processing Facility
Design for 50,000-square feet of aerospace manufacturing/process space, meeting high-tolerance requirements for temperature, humidity and exhaust. Design also included conference rooms, break room, IT/data, restrooms/locker and office workspace.
Advanced Propulsion Laboratory
To boost manufacturing production and increase efficiency while providing a new, refreshened environment for employees, Burns & McDonnell provided full planning, architectural and engineering design services within the customer’s main production building. The upgrades will assist crewed module mission that ranged from ICD705 secure space to office spaces.
